Characteristics, options and filters

Describe products with characteristics, sell options that change the price and let customers filter.

In the admin Modules → Custom fields

1. Create a characteristic

   In Custom fields add a field, for example Material or Power, and the values it can have.

2. Group the fields

   Put related fields in a feature group and assign the group to a product, so you fill in only what applies.

3. Add options with a price

   Additional options such as size or colour can add to the price of the product when the customer chooses them.

4. Use them as filters

   Characteristics appear as filters in the categories, so customers narrow the list to what they need.

Tip: Use product families to link one model in several colours or sizes.
